
10N 11D Shillong -Dawki-Cherrapunjeei-Kaziranga-Guwahati
Itinerary
1st Day : Guwahati Airport / Rly Station to Shillong - Transfer
On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Shillong, which is also called the ‘Scotland of the East”. On the way visit a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills Umium Lake (Barapani). You may do the water sports here (Optional). On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Evening you can visit Police Bazaar which is the biggest local market. Overnight stay at Shillong.
2nd Day : Shillong to Mawsynram – Mawphlang Sacred Forest - Excursion
After breakfast visit Mawsynram, which as per the new geological reports, receives the highest rainfall in the world. The area is known for its caves. Later visit Mawphlang Sacred Grove. It is one of the biggest Sacred Groves in Meghalaya. It is a well preserved forest by local community. Nothing can be taken out from the forest as this is being protected by the local deities. Visit Khasi model village. In the evening return to Shillong. Visit Elephanta Falls. Overnight stay at Shillong.
3rd Day : Shillong to Laitlum Canyons - Krang Suri Falls - Excursion
After breakfast proceed to Laitlum Canyons for some breathtaking views. Then visit Krang Suri Falls. It is one of the best waterfalls in Meghalaya. You can also swim in a naturally formed pool here. You can also go behind the waterfall and see the water falling in front of you. After Lunch (Own cost) return back to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.
4th Day : Shillong to Dawki - Transfer via Mawlynong
After early breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Later drive to Dawki. Enjoy boating over Umngot river, visit Indo-Bangladesh border. Later check in to hotel. Overnight stay at Dawki.
Note: Sohra (Cherrapunjee) & Dawki are rich by their own unique beauty & full of natural elegance. The places are paradise of nature lovers, explorers & travel enthusiastic. But these destinations are equipped with very limited options, facilities & basic amenities. Even best hotels are equivalent to basic 3*. That too without Fan (at few places), AC & Lift. Standard Accommodations over there are available; just with clean rooms, hygienic bathroom & basic non vegetarian food (very limited options are there for vegetarian guests).
5th Day : Dawki to Cherrapunjee - Transfer and Sightseeing
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. via mawkdok dympep valley(ziplining),Garden of caves, wahkaba falls, arawah cave, nokhalikai falls, mawsmai cave and seven sister falls. Check in to hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjeei.

6th Day : Cherrapunjee - Local Sightseeing
After early breakfast Proceed for a full day trekking to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge (Closed on Sunday) at Nongriat Village. Need to trek approx. 3200 steps each way to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge (Closed on Sunday). We can further trek down to the Rainbow Falls which take about 60 to 90 minutes from the Double Decker Living Root Bridge (Closed on Sunday).
7th Day : Cherrapunjee to Kaziranga - Transfer
After breakfast check out and transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of One Horned Rhinoceros. On arrival Check in at your hotel. Evening you can visit orchid park and enjoy cultural program. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
8th Day : Kaziranga - National Park Safari
Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park. Return to the resort for breakfast. Mid morning at leisure. In the afternoon enjoy jeep safari through the National Park later visit Kziranga Orchid Park. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

+ (Contd. 8th Day) : Elephant Safari – Kaziranga National Park (Western – Bagori Range) – Elephant Ride – Indian
The elephant safari in Kaziranga National Park, available exclusively in the morning, offers a unique and intimate wildlife experience. This hour-long journey begins at two points: Bagori in the Western Range and Mihimukh in the Central Range. The Western Safari Zone, particularly Bagori, is the most preferred for elephant safaris, as its landscape allows for incredibly close encounters with the park’s famed one-horned rhinoceroses. Riding atop a majestic elephant through tall grasses, you can also spot other wildlife like tigers, deer, and a variety of birds. This safari offers a perfect vantage point to explore the diverse ecosystem and stunning landscapes of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
+ (Contd. 8th Day) : Jeep Safari – Kaziranga National Park (Central/Kohra Range) – Safari – Indian
The entry gate to the Central Range of Kaziranga National Park is situated in the Mihimukh area of Kohora. This range is Positioned between the Western and Eastern Ranges. A two-hour Jeep safari will offer you the spectacular views of the park’s wildlife. You may see one-horned rhinos grazing or wallowing in the expansive grasslands, herds of elephants, and various other species of flora and fauna. The Central/Kohora Range, is particularly renowned for its tiger sightings, making this safari an exceptional experience for wildlife enthusiasts. For the Jeep Safari, entry is permitted between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. This schedule provides flexibility, allowing guests to begin their safari at any time within these designated hours. The duration of the safari is approximately two hours.

The Western Zone of Kaziranga National Park, accessible via the Bagori entry gate, offers an incredible Jeep safari experience. Starting from the Bagori Tourism Office, the two-hour safari takes you through a diverse landscape where you can spot the park’s famed one-horned rhinos, elephants, and wild buffaloes. Majestic pied hornbills, owls, and eagles can be seen in the ficus trees, while monitor lizards blend into tree trunks. In the large beels (water bodies), you may witness rhinos wallowing, elephants playing, or greylag geese feeding. The vibrant ecosystem also includes otters, turtles, and colorful birds like minivets and khaleej pheasants, providing an unforgettable wildlife experience. For the Jeep Safari, entry is permitted between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. 9th Day : Kaziranga to Guwahati - Transfer
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Guwahati enroute visit Maha Mritunjay Temple in Nagaon. Arrive and check in at your hotel. In evening we suggest an optional tour of Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (Direct Payment basis). Overnight stay at Guwahati.
10th Day : Guwahati - Local Sightseeing
After breakfast out to visit Kamakhya Temple (Notes -Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till its gets dark), then visit Umananda Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple. Evening you may take a River Cruise (Direct Payment) on the mighty River Brahmaputra. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
11th Day : Guwahati Hotel to Guwahati Airport / Rly Station - Transfer
After breakfast Transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
