Itinerary
Day 1: ARUSHA
Arrive Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to hotel. Day at leisure. Time permitting a half day excursion to Arusha National Park or Mt Kilimanjaro Reserve. Today’s lunch and dinner on own account. Overnight in Arusha
Day 2: TARANGIRE
Early morning departure to Tarangire. Game drive in the national park. Lunch, dinner and overnight in Tarangire.
Day 3: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Depart for Lake Manyara game drive after breakfast. Optional picnic lunch in Lake Manyara or at a restaurant outside the park. Dinner & overnight in Ngorongoro region.
Day 4: NGORONGORO CRATER
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater early morning. After a full day of game viewing in the Crater and picnic lunch return to your lodge in time for dinner & overnight.
Day 5: NGORONGORO – SERENGETI
Depart from Ngorongoro after an early breakfast for a 4 hours drive to Serengeti. Your game drive commences as soon as you enter the gates of the national park. Reach the lodge in time for lunch. Embark on an evening game drive after some relaxation.
Day 6: SERENGETI
Today enjoy a morning (dawn to 0930am) and evening (0330-sunset) game drives. OPTIONAL HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARI with Champagne breakfast. All meals at the lodge or alternate picnic breakfast or lunch (for a full day game drive). Overnight at Serengeti.
Day 7: SERENGETI
Enjoy one more day of game drives, morning and evening OR a full day (8am-4pm) with a picnic lunch. Explore the Serengeti further, perhaps to the borders of Masai Mara. Dinner & overnight at Serengeti.
Day 8: DEPARTURE
Morning game drive and drop off to local airstrip for flight to Kilimanjaro Airport, Dar Es Salaam or Zanzibar.
