Hidden Jewels of Malaysia…

We all know Kuala Lumpur, Genting, Penang and Langkawi. But how about exploring something beyond the regular.

Sabah – Sarawak

So, let’s begin our journey into the Eastern States of Malaysia – Sabah and Sarawak located on the exotic, coral enriched Island of Borneo. These states probably have the highest rain forest cover in the entire Malaysia and majority of the land in these states belong to Conservation Areas / National Parks / Protected Zones – how beautiful is that!!! Kota Kinabalu – the busiest city belonging to Sabah is the entry point and Malaysian Airlines has daily flight connecting this city to KL. From here you can visit the very beautiful islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TAR). Here pump your adrenaline by zipping along the World’s Longest Island Zipline from one island to the other passing above the coral filled clear blue sea!!! Visit the Eastern Coast to check some of the most exotic islands in the world – Turtle Island, Lankayan Island and Mabul Island – offering luxury, water bungalows and local experiences!!!

These states also offer a host of Conservation Areas offering luxury lodges, Canopy Walks and to see the rare and endemic Wildlife up close and personal!!! Do visit Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, Danum Valley, Gomantong Caves, Tabin Wildlife Reserve and Maliu Bhasin for the serious trekkers and nature lovers.

Do try the famous Bird’s Nest Soup – these Switlet’s nests are harvested in the Gomantang Caves and can be sold at fairly high prices – especially the white ones.
